George Ross located his printing business at 14 Horse Wynd, Edinburgh. The Ross’s Juvenile Library series of children’s chapbooks are an excellent example of the migration of chapbook material between Scottish printers.

Glaswegian publisher Lumsden and Son, in partnership with Edinburgh printers George and James Ross, published the Ross’s Juvenile Library between 1814 and 1815. Later the series was passed to Caw and Elder in Edinburgh.
