The Two Emigrants

"The Two Emigrants" is a sad song of two Scots leaving their beloved homeland for a new life in North America, along the shores of Lake Erie. The song is woven with memories of the life and cultural ties to Scotland, interwined with hopeful thoughts about what awaits the Emigrants in their new home, perhaps as a way to counter-act the pain and sorrow of leaving all of one's friends and family behind.
