Abstract

A collection of excerpts drawn from a variety of chronicles and histories in medieval and early modern Scottish literature, such as John Barbour and John Fordun, presented with short annotations by the editor. Collectively, the excerpts have been chosen and portrayed as reflective of Scotland’s long historical association with freedom and liberty, from as early as the 14th century onward to Union.
