Abstract

A tale of filial piety, love, and the determination of a young woman to earn pardon for her parents with whom she has lived in exile in the wilds of Siberia for the last twelve years. Particular emphasis on the virtues of devotion and love for one’s parents, religious piety, and the positive influence women can have.
